SRVO-004: Fence open

The safety fence circuit is open - a gate, door, or interlock in the fence loop isn't closed.

What it means

The safety fence circuit is open - a gate, door, or interlock in the fence loop isn't closed. In AUTO the robot won't run until the circuit closes. If everything looks closed, hunt the interlock switch or wiring that thinks otherwise.

Common causes

Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.

  1. A fence gate or guard door genuinely open.
  2. Misaligned or failed interlock switch on a gate that appears closed.
  3. Wiring fault in the fence circuit.
  4. Blown fuse - check SRVO-213 if it appears together.

How to fix it

  1. Verify no one is inside the cell, close all gates, and press RESET.
  2. If it won't clear, inspect each interlock switch for alignment and actuation - a sagging gate that no longer engages its switch is a classic.
  3. Circuit-level faults go to a qualified electrician; never jumper or bypass the fence circuit to get running.
