Controller & setup
Verifying a FANUC Software Option Is Installed (R-30iB)
For a technician confirming whether a purchased FANUC software option is present and active on an R-30iB controller by reading the software configuration screen.
Open the software configuration screen
From the teach pendant, bring up the STATUS Version ID / software configuration screen. This screen lists the installed software features by order number.
Locate the option by order number
Scroll the list and match the order number or feature name against the option you're verifying. If it's listed, it's installed on this controller.
Cross-check against the purchase record
Compare the order numbers shown against the FANUC order file or purchase paperwork for the robot to confirm every purchased option is present.
Test the feature behavior
Open the menu or run the instruction that the option provides and confirm it's available rather than greyed out or missing.
If the option is missing, request installation
Options are added or changed by reinstalling software through the BMON 'All software installation' menu (from MC:, Ethernet, or USB) using media prepared through the FANUC order process. This is not a load-a-single-license-file operation from a running controller. Contact FANUC or your integrator to obtain the correct install media for the option.
