Teach Pendant Emergency Stop Button
Provides an immediate hardwired stop command from the teach pendant, wired into the cell's safety circuit.
The teach pendant e-stop button is a mushroom-head, latching pushbutton wired into the same dual-channel safety circuit as the operator panel and perimeter e-stops, letting an operator holding the pendant stop the robot immediately from wherever they are standing.
Because it is mounted on a handheld device that gets bumped and dropped, this button sees more incidental impact than a panel-mounted e-stop bolted to a fixed enclosure.
A button that fails to latch properly or whose contacts have degraded can either fail to stop the robot when pressed or, just as disruptively, report a permanent stop condition that prevents the robot from running at all.
