Die Casting

Die casting robots extract hot metal parts from the die, quench and trim them, and keep the cell running through a high-heat, high-cycle process.

After the die opens, the robot reaches in to extract the freshly cast part while it is still hot, often dipping it in a quench tank before placing it on a trim press or conveyor.

Heat is the dominant design factor. Arm wrap, cabling, and the end effector all need to tolerate repeated exposure to hot parts and die spray without premature wear.

Thermal drift in the cell can shift die and part positions slightly over a shift, so repeatability under sustained heat matters more here than in cooler processes.
