J6 Axis Reducer

Provides the final gear reduction driving rotation of the tool mounting flange.

The J6 axis reducer is the last mechanical stage before the tool mounting flange, so any backlash or wear here translates directly into tool center point positioning error at the end effector.

Because it is the outermost reducer, it is subject to reaction loads from the tooling itself, including side loads from heavy or offset end effectors that the reducer was not necessarily sized to handle if the tooling exceeds the rated wrist load.

Technicians often check this reducer first when a robot develops a repeatability complaint localized to tool orientation rather than overall arm position.
