Line Filter

Suppresses electrical noise generated by the drive system from feeding back into the plant power supply.

The line filter suppresses high-frequency electrical noise generated by the servo amplifier's switching action, preventing that noise from feeding back into the plant power supply and interfering with other equipment on the same circuit.

This is largely a passive component, but its effectiveness degrades if internal components drift out of tolerance with age or if it is undersized relative to the drive system's actual switching noise output.

A missing or failed line filter often shows up as unexplained interference on other nearby equipment rather than as a fault on the robot itself, which can make it a tricky root cause to trace.
