Teach Pendant Display Unit
Displays program, position, and alarm information on the teach pendant and provides the touchscreen input surface.
The display unit is the touchscreen and backlight assembly built into the teach pendant, showing program listing, current position, and active alarms so an operator can work without a separate monitor.
Because this assembly is exposed to constant handling, glove contact, and occasional drops, the touch digitizer and its ribbon cable connection to the pendant's internal board wear out well before the rest of the pendant.
Replacing the display unit alone, rather than the whole pendant, is common practice once the housing and keypad are still in good condition.
