FANUC M-20iD/25

The FANUC M-20iD/25 is a 6-axis industrial arm that pairs a 25 kg payload with an 1831 mm reach, so it covers a big envelope without moving up to a heavier frame. FANUC introduced it in 2019, and it turns up most on arc-welding, material-handling, and machine-tending lines. That reach-for-the-payload spread is why it lands in cells where parts are large but not especially heavy.

Repeatability sits at 0.02 mm, tight enough for weld seams that have to land in the same place cut after cut. On a welding cell that precision keeps the torch on the joint, so seam-tracking and careful arc-welding setup spend less time correcting.

Buyers in this class often line it up against the ABB IRB 2600, another mid-payload six-axis built for welding and handling. The two fit similar cells, so the choice usually comes down to controller preference and the integrator's toolset. Where the FANUC leans is a long reach for its payload, which buys standoff room around fixtures and tooling.
