Application
Part Inspection
Part inspection robots position a camera or sensor at multiple angles around a part to check dimensions, surface condition, or feature presence during production.
The robot moves a mounted camera or sensor through a set of programmed viewpoints around the part, capturing images or measurements that a vision system then evaluates against a reference.
Repeatable positioning matters more than raw speed here, since inspection accuracy depends on the camera returning to the same standoff distance and angle on every part.
Lighting control is often built into the cell alongside the robot, since inconsistent lighting is a more common cause of false rejects than the robot's own motion accuracy.
