- Connection cable loose at either end (line tracking I/F board or encoder).
- Cable shield not grounded at the grounding plate.
- Failed tracking cable, encoder/motor, or I/F board.
How to fix it
- Reseat the cable at both ends.
- Verify the shield is landed on the grounding plate.
- Then replace in order of cost: cable, motor/encoder, I/F board. Power-cycle to clear.
