SRVO-217: E-STOP Board not found

What it means

At power-up, the controller couldn't find the emergency stop board or an additional Safe I/O device. Long remedy ladder because the causes range from a blown FUSE1 to multi-arm configuration states.

Common causes

Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.

1. Blown FUSE1 on the E-stop board.
2. Cable between E-stop board and main board.
3. Failed E-stop unit.
4. Additional safety I/O board needing initialization (slave-controller systems like M-2000iA).
5. Cabling to or failure of the additional safe I/O device.
6. Multi-arm system with a controller missing from the set.
7. Main board (last, after image backup).

How to fix it

1. Safety-chain electrical work is a qualified-personnel task. With the controller de-energized and locked out, check FUSE1 on the E-stop board, correct the cause of the blown fuse, and replace the fuse.
2. With the controller de-energized and locked out, check the E-stop-board-to-main-board cable and replace it if suspect.
3. With the controller de-energized and locked out, replace the E-stop unit.
4. On slave-controller systems, initialize the safety I/O device.
5. With the controller de-energized and locked out, check the additional safe I/O device and its cabling.
6. On multi-arm systems, confirm all controllers are connected.
7. Take an image backup with the controller powered, then de-energize and apply lockout/tagout again before replacing the main board.
