SRVO-024: Move error excess
The axis fell too far behind its commanded path while moving - excessive following error in motion, where SRVO-023 is the same problem at rest.
What it means
The axis fell too far behind its commanded path while moving - excessive following error in motion, where SRVO-023 is the same problem at rest. Same physical suspects, plus one more: the move itself is too aggressive.
Common causes
Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.
- Everything on the SRVO-023 list (overload, external force, brake, cabling, voltage, hardware).
- Overly aggressive motion: ACC overrides, sharp CNT reversals, or linear moves passing near a singularity where wrist axes spin at high speed.
How to fix it
- Work the SRVO-023 checklist first (minus the brake-option setting, which doesn't apply here).
- If the alarm coincides with a specific aggressive move, soften it: reduce ACC, smooth the reversal, or reroute the path away from the singularity.
- The PULSE screen shows how large the following error actually is, which helps separate 'slightly tuned wrong' from 'something is broken'.
