SRVO-209: Robot-n SVEMG abnormal

Multi-robot version of the SVEMG fault: the E-stop line abnormality was detected on robot 2 or higher in the amplifier chain. One prominent non-safety cause: a misconfigured amplifier type on an auxiliary axis.

Common causes

Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.

  1. Configuration: an αiSV-driven axis with amplifier type wrongly set to 1 (6-axis) instead of 2 (auxiliary), or a duplicated amplifier number.
  2. Genuine E-stop unit or amplifier fault on the identified robot.

How to fix it

  1. Check the amplifier number and type for every αiSV-driven axis first. Set the type to 2 and de-duplicate the numbers. This is the documented soft cause and needs no hardware work.
  2. If the configuration is correct, replace the identified robot's E-stop unit and then its amplifier, each with the controller de-energized and locked out.
  3. If it still alarms, document the events and contact FANUC.
