End-of-Arm Cabling

Supplies electrical power, control signal, and pneumatic lines from the forearm to the tool mounted at the flange.

End-of-arm cabling carries the utilities an end effector needs, electrical power, control signals, and often compressed air, from a junction point on the forearm or wrist out to the tool mounted at the flange.

This is the most heavily flexed cabling on the entire robot, since it moves through the full range of every wrist axis on top of whatever motion the tool itself demands during a cycle.

Manufacturers rate this cabling for a specific number of flex cycles, and replacement on that schedule is standard practice rather than waiting for a visible failure, since a break here stops production immediately.
