SRVO-227: Amplifier fuse blown (FUSE9)
FUSE9 inside the servo amplifier has blown.
What it means
FUSE9 inside the servo amplifier has blown. FANUC's ladder starts, interestingly, with the fan unit - the usual downstream load on this circuit.
Common causes
Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.
- Failed FAN unit loading the fused circuit.
- Servo amplifier board fault.
- Main board (after image backup).
- Side board.
How to fix it
- A fuse that blows again has a load behind it. Find the cause rather than feeding it fuses.
- With the controller de-energized and locked out, replace the FAN unit first.
- With the controller de-energized and locked out, replace the servo amplifier board.
- Take an image backup with the controller powered, then de-energize and apply lockout/tagout again before replacing the main board.
- With the controller de-energized and locked out, replace the side board last.
