Servo DSP initialization failed - from hardware or a wrong software setting - and the software fell back to 'dry run' mode. The first number in the message is a decode table: it tells you which of a dozen distinct causes you have, several of which just point at other alarms.

- Decode by first parameter: 1 = deliberate ($SCR.$STARTUP_CND=12, warning only); 2/3/4/7 = servo card; 5 = invalid ATR/axis config (FSSB line, start axis, amp number/type); 6 = see SRVO-180; 8/10 = see SRVO-058; 9 = no amplifier found on the servo card (connections, fiber, power, fuses); 11 = invalid axisorder / missing aux board; 12 = see SRVO-059; 13/14/15/17 = contact FANUC.
How to fix it
- Read the first number and follow its branch. This alarm is a router, not a single fault.
- For 5 and 11, audit the software axis configuration end to end.
- For 9, work the physical chain with the controller de-energized and locked out: check connections, optical fiber, amplifier power, and amplifier fuses, then replace the fiber or amplifier.
- For the contact-FANUC codes, capture the Diagnostic Log, take an image backup, and call FANUC. Power-cycle to clear.
