SRVO-189: I/O-Link livecode error

Communication interrupted on a pulse coder connected to the main board - or, on systems with a force sensor, the force sensor's channel.

What it means

Communication interrupted on a pulse coder connected to the main board - or, on systems with a force sensor, the force sensor's channel. A check-the-history-first alarm with a hardware ladder behind it.

Common causes

Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.

  1. Another alarm in the history (including force-sensor alarms) is the trigger.
  2. Main board fault.
  3. CPU card fault.

How to fix it

  1. Resolve any simultaneous alarms first, force-sensor alarms included.
  2. Escalation: image backup, then main board, then CPU card.
  3. Still alarming: document the sequence and contact FANUC.
