SRVO-190: Pulsecoder ID mismatch

The line-tracking encoder channel has either nothing connected (parameter 1) or the wrong kind of sensor on it (parameter 2).

What it means

The line-tracking encoder channel has either nothing connected (parameter 1) or the wrong kind of sensor on it (parameter 2).

Common causes

Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.

  1. Tracking encoder not connected - cable or connector.
  2. A non-tracking sensor plugged into the tracking channel.
  3. Cable, motor, or main board fault.

How to fix it

  1. Read the parameter to identify which case you have.
  2. Reseat the connectors; verify shield grounding at the plate.
  3. Then cable, motor, and (after image backup) main board. Power-cycle to clear.
