SRVO-266: FENCE1 status abnormal
Chain fault on the fence circuit's channel 1: the fence signal's two redundant channels disagree.
What it means
Chain fault on the fence circuit's channel 1: the fence signal's two redundant channels disagree. Almost always a wiring story - a fence interlock wired to one channel but not properly to the other.
Common causes
Ranked by what technicians most often find, most likely first.
- Miswiring of the FENCE signal - the manual's first suspect, common after cell modifications or new interlock installs.
- Failing contact in one channel of a fence device.
How to fix it
- With the controller de-energized and locked out, audit the fence circuit wiring against the connection diagram. Both channels must switch together through every device.
- Repair the wiring per the maintenance manual with the controller de-energized and locked out. Never bridge one channel to silence the mismatch.
- After the repair, run the chain release: press and release an E-stop button on the pendant or operator panel, press F4 'RES_1CH' on the Alarm ACTIVE screen [4 Alarm / ACTIVE], then press RESET.
